General Academic Strand Learner’s Career Map
GLCM is the online career mapping survey of Masbate National Comprehensive High School Senior High School. It helps every Grade 12 learner in the General Academic Strand plan their path after senior high school, and gives their teachers and the Guidance Office one shared, up-to-date picture of those plans.
A career map for every Grade 12 GAS learner
The career mapping project started in 2020.
Each learner fills in a short, guided form: their personal information, the curriculum exits they plan to take, their goals and vision in life, skills and interests, paid or volunteer work, short- and long-term career goals, and their work immersion plan and reflection.
The answers become the learner’s career map — a one-page document they can download and keep, and that their class adviser, work immersion teacher and the Guidance Office use to guide them through Grade 12 and beyond.
Four paths after senior high school
Every learner chooses a priority exit and a secondary exit, with the course, industry, business or TESDA qualification they have in mind.
- Higher Education Enroll in a college or university degree program
- Employment Join the workforce right after senior high school
- Entrepreneurship Start or grow your own business
- Middle Level Skills Development TESDA training toward a National Certificate
